I thought the most effective presentation was Emily's. Her presentation was in depth look at how the modern person obtains their information wether it was through text or online. The project also examined which method was more effective. Her position was that text and going to the library was much more effective than googling a question. Throughout the presentation she used a lot of rhetorical appeal, especially pathos. The three genres she used to promote her research was Twitter, a website, and a children's book. I liked how she promoted her genre to all age groups by incorporating the children book she was able to target a group that didn't have access to twitter or her website. She was pathos because she wanted to stop this problem before it became a bad habit amongst individuals. The children book informed kids that the internet isn't always the best way to obtain information. The book also had an indirect audience which was the parents of the children. The parents most likely had to buy the book and read the book to the children giving them a brief understanding of the problem. They might take action to promote the problem throughout the household. Overall I thought that Emily's presentation and her promotion was the most effective and targeted the broadest audience.
