My favorite song!

"Lose Yourself" performed by Eminem is by far my favorite song. This song brings me back to when I was in middle school. This song is also my first favorite song and one of the first rap songs i ever listens to. The meaning behind the lyrics are basically don't give in when the going gets tough. The audience is for those who are barely hanging in there scared and feeling like they can't go on. This song has a lot of meaning to Eminem as well because he was in the exact scenario as his audience. There is a great movie that reflects the hardships he had to endure growing up called "8 Mile". The movie towards the end has this song in it and basically sums up his struggles. Since this song is so close to Eminem he raps it with a lot of pathos or emotion. Another reason this song is my favorite it was one of the only songs I memorized all the words. This song helped me when I was an unhealthy kid and I decided to better myself. This involved going to the gym and having "Lose Yourself" on repeat. This song sparked my passion for fitness and overall health.
